Let's meet up and improve our pronunciation together!
I've noticed that it can be difficult to get feedback on pronunciation, and
many teachers don't know how (or don't have time in class) to work with
students to reduce their accent and improve their pronunciation. Proper
pronunciation in a new language requires us to move our mouths, lips, and
tongues in new, unfamiliar ways that may feel awkward or strange. But with
practice we can master these new sounds and speak like native speakers!
Let's meet up and share our ideas and feedback with each other. Let's break
bad habits and improve our speaking. This is intended to be a supportive,
educational experience. Expect to have fun, make new friends, and improve
your pronunciation.
I can help you with English and Spanish pronunciation (even those Spanish
R's!) I'd like to get help with my Chinese pronunciation and tones. When you
RSVP, please indicate in which languages you are an "expert" and with which
languages you want help.
Bring a list of words or tongue twisters you feel are difficult to pronounce
in your target language.
