Spanish Word of the Day (Friday, January 23, 2009) nunca, adverb ever Nunca can convey both never and ever. No lo he visto nunca. (I’ve never seen it.) In phrases such as the next one, it translates as ever: Ninguno de nosotros había esquiado nunca. (None of us had ever skied before.) It also translates as ever in questions ? often rhetorical. ¿Se vio nunca tal cosa? Did you ever see such a thing?) And in sentences involving más or menos and a comparison: Esta más guapo que nunca. (He’s more handsome than ever.) Trabaja menos que nunca. (He’s working less than ever.) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.175.220.223
