英超聯自2003年起與英國國立文學推廣基金（National Literacy Trust）合作，
開辦「英超球星讀書會」（Premier League Reading Star）活動，邀請英超聯成員
每隊派出一位球星，推薦他們最喜歡讀的書（童書與一般書籍），
並且擔任文學推廣基金的校園推廣大使，以及錄製有獎徵答活動。
（NLT歡迎英國各級學校的老師向他們索取PLRS相關教材帶到課堂上讓學童參與）
