NetBSD's lastlogin(1) has a number of useful options that allow you to get, for example, the full hostname instead of a truncated string:

     lastlogin [-nrt] [-f filename] [-H hostsize] [-L linesize] [-N namesize]
               [user ...]

FreeBSD's lastlogin(1) only allows:

     lastlogin [user ...]


Please import the options from NetBSD.
