Hello,
I don't know if I followed something wrong with the named
documentation for DNS servers in the handbook (http://www.freebsd.org/
doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-dns.html) but in section
24.6.5 Starting BIND, in at least FreeBSD 6-STABLE, ndc does not
exist (for starting named manually). Maybe it should be replaced with
'/etc/rc.d/named start'? (That's what I did and it worked just fine
for manual start). Just letter you know.
