There are some examples of "man gjournal" at

Once of them is as following.  tunefs is missing its device argument.

gjournal label da0s1d da0s1e && \e
    tunefs -J enable -n disable && \e
    mount -o async /dev/da0s1d.journal /mnt || \e
    mount /dev/da0s1d /mnt

man gjournal or use the link above.

"tunefs -J enable -n disable da0s1d.journal", I suppose.
