OF Justin Upton left the D-backs' 4-3 victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday
with a strained right oblique muscle suffered when he attempted to steal
second base with one out in the last of the ninth inning. Upton took off for
second but was in obvious pain after only a couple of steps. Upton, who stole
second base in the seventh, is hitting .301 with 20 homers, 22 doubles and 16
RBIs. "We'll know more (Thursday), but it's a tough blow for this team,"
manager A.J. Hinch said.
