[閒聊] 今年讓人失望的SP

他挑這五個的原因是因為他們去年都是ERA排行榜前十名的球員

Jake Peavy (2008: 2.85 ERA 2009: 3.97 ERA)
Peavy has suffered a number of injuries this year, but there’s been a drop
off across the board for Peavy and moving to a very hitter friend U.S.
Cellular Field will not help the cause.  It’s not that Peavy is a bad pitcher,
or the fact that he has been “unlucky” this year, it’s about raw numbers.
In the 5x5 categories, he’s slacking and that’s what matters for this year.

Daisuke Matsuzaka (2008: 2.90 ERA 2009: 8.23 ERA)
The Japanese import has struggled all year long after working out with Team
Japan early on in the off-season to prepare for the World Baseball Classic.
He currently possesses a 1-5 record and has spent most of his time this year
attempting to rehab in the minor leagues in order to work up his arm strength.

Ryan Dempster (2008: 2.96 ERA 2009: 4.28 ERA)
Like the previously two pitchers we’ve discussed, Dempster has missed time
on the DL this year, most of which was due to a freak injury that resulted
in a broken toe. Regardless, he’s been a completely different pitcher in
2009 and has transformed into the pitcher that we’ve known in previous years.

Ben Sheets (2008: 3.09 ERA 2009: Has not played)
Sheets remains unsigned, although has been rehabbing in Arlington, Texas
under close watch by the Texas Rangers.He's suffered from a history of injury
problems and this season has been no exception after undergoing off-season
surgery.

Cole Hamels (2008: 3.09 ERA 2009: 4.69 ERA)
While Hamels won a World Series last year, he was also pitching a ridiculous
amount of innings, over 250. The southpaw has failed to repeat his 2008
campaign, however, has remained a staple in the Phillies rotation.
He’s still a very young pitcher, 25, but he needs to pitch more consistently.

短評:這五隻都沒有，所以感受不深，最痛的Brandon Webb.....
