Manager Ozzie Guillen said Bobby Jenks, who blew Sunday's save in spectacular
fashion, may get a couple days off from the role, meaning Thornton and JJ
Putz could be options. Of course, the struggling White Sox would have to
provide Thornton with the save opportunity before he could convert.


Manager Ozzie Guillen said after Sunday's loss that he would think over his
options for the Sox' next few save options, so Putz and Matt Thornton could
be in the picture with Bobby Jenks. Putz may be the third option on that list,
 so this news shouldn't precipitate a "must add" in all
formats.

he'd be a better stopper than Jenks. J.J. Putz is a longer shot for the job
