Igarashi was sent down to High-A St. Lucie Friday, according to a Mets press
release.
Recommendation: Igarashi had pitched better of late but the Mets decided they
needed a right-handed hitter off the bench and promoted Nick Evans. Igrashi
was sent to A-ball because Triple-A and Double-A are approaching their
All-Star breaks.
