Ramirez is feeling soreness in his left thumb again, and is not in the
starting lineup on Sunday, reports Carrie Muskat of MLB.com.
Recommendation: Ramirez has struggled with lingering thumb issues all
season long, but after hitting .313 with nine home runs in July,
it appeared his thumb injury was in the rear view mirror to stay.
Not so. He'll be considered day-to-day until we hear how the Cubs will
handle the latest flare up.
