Uehara could be in the mix for saves with manager Buck Showalter essentially
declaring the closer role as open, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Recommendation: Alfredo Simon has served as the team's closer for the
majority of the season, but he has struggled since the All-Star break and
blew Monday's save. Uehara has never earned a save in his major league
career, but he has a 13:2 K:BB in 11.2 innings since the All-Star break.
