OF Nelson Cruz was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Aug.
15, with a left hamstring injury. Cruz has battled hamstring issues all
season, and this marks the third time this season that he'll be on the
disabled list because of them. A recent MRI showed no tear, but Cruz will be
on the shelf once more, depriving the Rangers of his potent bat. Cruz is
hitting .320 with 16 home runs and 64 RBIs in only 77 games this season.
