Mets places 1B Ike Davis on the
15-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain
and bone bruise.
It was originally called an ankle injury, but regardless, the move isn't a
surprise, as Davis was spotted walking around in a protective boot after
leaving Tuesday's game with the injury. It's not yet known how much time he
will miss. Daniel Murphy will slide over to handle first base, while Justin
Turner and Willie Harris occupy second base.
