Davis to come up for good?:
The Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers
are considering calling up Chris Davis to start regularly in left field, with
Josh Hamilton moving back to center field. David Murphy would lose playing
time as a result. Davis is hitting .374 at Round Rock, has 19 home runs in
just 33 games in the minors. "Every time you look at the box score, it seems
like he's hit two home runs," Rangers general manager said. "He's really gone
off down there. [Bringing him back] is something we've talked about a little
bit. He can play any of the four corner positions [left, right, first base or
third base]. It's the reason we asked him to play some outfield. With his
athleticism, we thought he could do it. He has shown he can."
