Padres option struggling Rizzo back to AAA
Padres optioned 1B Anthony Rizzo to Triple-A Tucson.
Rizzo was promoted to the major leagues in early June after opening the
season on an offensive tear at Triple-A Tucson. But he struggled mightily in
34 games with the Padres, batting just .143/.282/.265 with one home run and
six RBI. The 21-year-old should be back up later this summer.
