Aug 4 Choo (thumb) took live batting practice Thursday for the first time
since his injury, the team's official site reports.
Recommendation: He'll continue to take live batting practice over the weekend
as he eyes a mid-August return. "It went OK, no pain or anything," manager
Manny Acta said. "He's had some sensation in that thumb. It was a good
session. He didn't let it go. He's probably one or two [sessions] away from
letting it go."
