Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Red Sox have called up
outfielder Scott Podsednik from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Not a big surprise, as both Cody Ross (foot) and Ryan Sweeney (concussion)
are expected to be placed on the disabled list Tuesday. Podsednik, who was
acquired from the Phillies earlier this month, is hitting .323 (10-for-31)
with one homer and two stolen bases over his first nine games with the
PawSox. The 36-year-old outfielder hasn't appeared in the majors since 2010
