The 28-year-old apparently suffered a setback Friday, and Yankees manager
Joe Girardi said Saturday that he doesn't expect Gardner to return before the
All-Star break. It's bad news for Gardner, who hasn't played since Apr. 17,
as well as fantasy owners. While his return appeared to be imminent earlier
in the week, it now looks like Gardner will be out until mid-July at the
earliest.
