Gee to have surgery, possibly out for season Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports that Dillon Gee will undergo potentially season-ending surgery Friday in St. Louis to repair artery damage in his right shoulder. Doctors were able to dissolve a blood clot in Gee's shoulder, but they determined that his artery was damaged, and the right-hander has opted to undergo surgery rather than use blood thinners. It's a shame, as Gee was pitching well this season with a 4.10 ERA and 97/29 K/BB ratio over 109 2/3 innings, but it's simply something he must do for his health. He'll be allowed to resume throwing in 6-8 weeks and could make it back in late September, but the Mets appear more focused on getting him ready for the 2013 season. 要手術 6~8週 9月底歸隊或者整季報銷 應該可以先丟了 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 49.159.12.22
