Adam Eaton is dealing with renewed soreness in his left elbow and has
returned to Phoenix for an examination.
Advice: Bad news. Eaton, who was diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral
ligament in March, began playing in rehab games earlier this month and felt
well enough to return to center field last week. However, the pain has
returned. The worst-case scenario would be season-ending Tommy John surgery,
but it's not clear if that's a consideration yet. But it's obviously a
concern.
