Chris Perez left Sunday's game against the Red Sox with right shoulder
discomfort.
Perez allowed three walks, a double and a single in the bottom of the ninth
inning before exiting with a trainer. If it's something that requires a trip
to the disabled list, the Indians would probably be forced to try Joe Smith
in the ninth-inning role. Vinnie Pestano has been next in line for saves
behind Perez in the past, but he's having his own set of struggles at the
moment.
