Nationals placed RHP Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day disabled list with a
strained right lat.
Advice: Strasburg was scratched from a scheduled bullpen session on Wednesday
due to lingering soreness in his right lat muscle. The Nationals are hopeful
that he will feel well enough to be activated on June 16 -- the first day
he's eligible. Strasburg, 24, has registered a 2.54 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 73/21
K/BB ratio in 74 1/3 innings this season.

Indians manager Terry Francona said that Asdrubal Cabrera (quad) could return
in 3-4 weeks.
Advice: Cabrera was placed on the disabled list Tuesday with a right quad
strain. It's the same injury that he's dealt with since late April. The
Indians are hoping he can return by early July in a best-case scenario. Mike
Aviles is expected to see the majority of playing time at shortstop in
Cabrera's absence.
