Cameron Maybin will be sidelined at least six weeks with damage to the
posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Maybin just can't catch a break. The outfielder was hitting well since
returning from the DL after missing seven weeks with a wrist issue, and now
he'll be out until after the All-Star break. Maybin hurt the knee after
landing on it awkwardly while attempting a diving catch of a fly ball on
Sunday. He'll presumably need surgery, though the Padres haven't revealed
that for sure yet.
