Wei-Yin Chen (oblique) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while
striking out five over five innings in a rehab start with Double-A Bowie
Saturday.
Advice: Chen threw 79 pitches, sitting at 91 mph and touching 93 mph with his
fastball. The left-hander declared himself ready to go after the outing.
"After six weeks of rest, I'm pretty confident I'm really good right now,"
Chen said. "I'm real satisfied with tonight's game and real satisfied with
the performance tonight. I tried to work hard and work every pitch and try to
get everything out." Orioles manager Buck Showalter indicated that Chen will
likely rejoin the rotation either Thursday or Friday.
