Matt Cain (forearm) threw a 90-pitch bullpen session on Monday and reported
feeling fine.
Advice: Cain is on track to return to the Giants' starting rotation this
Saturday against the Diamondbacks. He was placed on the disabled list for
the first time in his career on August 23 because of a right forearm
contusion.

Clay Buchholz (shoulder) will rejoin the Red Sox' rotation on Tuesday
in Tampa.
Advice: Buchholez completed his rehab assignment on Thursday.
He tossed just 3 2/3 innings in the outing and will likely be a little
limited from a pitch count standpoint Tuesday, but the Sox are ready to
throw him back in there. The club hasn't revealed whose rotation spot
Buchholz will take, but Ryan Dempster is the most likely to get the boot.
