Matt Kemp (hamsting) suffered a setback in his recovery and has been shut

down "indefinitely" after experiencing renewed tightness in his right

hamstring.

Advice: It's an injury that sidelined Kemp for almost three weeks earlier

in the season. He was expected to return to the Dodgers this week, but

time is now running out for the star outfielder to get back on the field

before the postseason begins. He's hitting a disappointing .263/.319/.382

with five homers and nine steals in just 62 games this season.

Howie Kendrick (knee) took a significant step towards returning to the

Angels lineup, running the bases at 90% speed before Friday's game.

Advice: The veteran second baseman has been sidelined with a strained left

knee since early August. Before hitting the DL, Kendrick was hitting

.301/.341/.437 with 11 homers and 47 RBI in 108 games.
