Biography
Motta came up through Barcas youth teams and for two
seasons starred for Barca B. Brazilian, of Italian origin
, Motta made his debut for the first team on 3rd October
against Mallorca at the Nou Camp. He has since gone on to
establish himself as an important squad player and has featured
in a number of important Champions League matches.
Position
A physically strong player with a good engine, Motta has proved
himself a versatile left sided midfielder, who can also play at
wing back or in the center of midfield. Motta also possesses a
strong left foot drive and he looks likely to be the natural
successor to Phillip Cocu in the Barca midfield.
