Reports in Italy suggest Newcastle are weighing up a move for
highly-rated Empoli striker Francesco Tavano.
義大利有消息說喜鵲準備引進評價很高的Empoli前鋒Tavano。
The Magpies are rumoured to be in the market for a new striker,
with Michael Owen's long-term injury focusing minds on Tyneside,
particularly after the retirement of Alan Shearer.
喜鵲在轉會市場上不斷的找尋新前鋒，這當然和Shearer的退休
以及Owen的長時間受傷有關。
Manager Glenn Roeder has been keeping his cards close to his chest,
although after adding Damien Duff to his squad, he is now reportedly
eyeing up Tavano.
在Duff加入之後，教練Roeder最近被報導說他正在關注Tavano。
Tavano has long been linked with a move from the Tuscan side, only
for Empoli's valuation of €12 million (￡8.2 million) to scare off
potential suitors.
Empoli的開價是1200萬歐元，約820萬英鎊。
Reports claim Newcastle are preparing a bid in the region of €10
million (￡6.8 million), but The Magpies could face competition from
Barcelona, with Frank Rijkaard believed to be ready to enter the
bidding.
報導說新堡準備開價1000萬歐元，約680萬英鎊，但是他們可能
會面對來自巴塞隆納的競爭。據信Rijkaard已經準備報價。
