Deco: "It is normal for us to be favourites"

Having rejoined the team after the holidays, Deco has claimed it
is only normal that Barca should be considered favourites, but
knows how difficult it will be to win all the different trophies
at stake.

Deco's first training session of the year was at the Loyola Marymount
in Los Angeles. In his first press conference, the Portuguese star
rejected the idea that the squad was under more pressure after
winning the double the year before. "Everybody is expecting more"
he agreed. "But we need to keep our cool."

了一般認為巴薩在上賽季贏得兩個冠軍後會承受更多的壓力。「每個人都

Feeling relaxed
It makes no difference to Deco whether Barca are the bookies
favourites or not. "We are keen and enthusiastic about it all" he
said, adding that they needed to ease themselves back into the playing
rhythm and not think about setting any huge targets quite yet. We just
need to do what we always do. We need to get our form back, we have
only just met the new players, and now we need to start thinking about
the games ahead."
對Deco來說，巴薩是不是被當成奪冠熱門根本沒差。「我們渴望贏得全部
。」但是他補充了他們必須放輕鬆並且回到他們原本的節奏，並且不要太
快訂下大目標。我們只需要作我們一直在做的是。我們要把狀態找回來，
我們當和新隊友碰面，而現在我們要開始考慮接下來的比賽了。
Seven titles too many?
Deco agrees that winning seven trophies this season is asking "a lot.
But we have good new players, who have proven what they can do at
international and club level. They give us more options". He also
denies that the new faces could lead to added tension in the dressing
room, saying "that is only a problem for the coach. He is the person
who decides who plays or not."
Deco同意要贏得七個錦標確實是很高的要求。但是「我們有很出色的新隊
友，他們已經證明了他們在國際賽以及俱樂部都能做的很好。他們帶給我
們更多選擇。」他也否認這些新面孔會給更衣室帶來更多壓力。「這是教
練的問題，他才能決定誰上場，誰不上場。」
Ronaldinho, a Barca symbol
Deco, who has a great relationship with Ronaldinho, also had something
to say about AC Milan's rumoured interest in the star. "Apart from being
a Barca player, Ronnie is also a club symbol. So, it would be hard to
see him ever being sold to another team. The club will be doing all it
can to make him stay."
Deco和Ronaldinho有良好的關係，他也談到了AC米蘭對Ronaldinho有興趣
的八卦。「Ronnie不僅是球隊的一員，他也是球隊的象徵。要是他被賣到
其他球隊會令人難過，而俱樂部也會儘一切可能讓他留下。」
