Van Bommel: farewell to a friend
Mark van Bommel said his goodbyes to the Barca squad and coaching
staff on Sunday morning. Despite having spent just one season in
Barcelona, the Dutch international midfielder is leaving behind
many good friends.
MvB在禮拜天早上跟巴薩隊友和教練組道別。雖然只待了一個賽季，可是他
在這裡交到許多朋友。
As usually happens when a player leaves the Club, Frank Rijkaard
called the entire squad together a few minutes before training
started to give Van Bommel a formal send-off. Rijkaard spoke
warmly of his fellow countryman and highlighted his impact on
the team spirit within the squad. Visibly moved, Mark then spoke
briefly to thank his team-mates for such an incredible season and
insisted that he was leaving behind friends, not colleagues.
就和以往有球員離開的時候一樣， Rijkaard集合了大家並且在訓練開始之
前對他正式的道別。 Rijkaard強調荷蘭同鄉對我們球隊精神的影響，Mark

were also on hand to say their own personal goodbyes. Mark van
Bommel is due to fly to Munich later on today for a medical,
following which he will sign his new contract with the German
champions.

Bayern on brink of Barca raid
Bayern Munich have announced they are on the brink of signing midfielder
Mark van Bommel from Barcelona, although Uli Hoeness says the arrival
of the Dutchman will not pave the way for Owen Hargreaves to join
Manchester United.

The German champions lost star man Michael Ballack to Chelsea over the
summer, with Ze Roberto also departing on a free transfer, and Felix
Magath's side are now fighting hard to keep Hargreaves away from the
clutches of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Facing the prospect of defending their title with a weakened midfield,
Bayern have moved to bring van Bommel to the Allianz Arena on a three

Team manager Uli Hoeness confirmed van Bommel will complete a transfer
to Germany if he passes a medical.

The England international, who was named on the bench for Bayern on
Saturday after missing the opening two games of the season due to
illness, has made public his desire to move to Old Trafford, but Hoeness
is confident he will remain at the German side past the transfer
deadline.
這個英格蘭國腳因為生病而錯過開季的兩場比賽，在禮拜天被排進了替補名單。
他公開的表示了他想去Old Trafford的渴望，但是Hoeness確信他會留下來。
"We want to be stronger still with Van Bommel and Hargreaves," Hoeness
added.

"He's not leaving. When the transfer window closes the whole episode
will be over, you can bet your bottom dollar."
