Eto'o: "I always serve my team-mates"
Samuel Eto'o has discussed his refusal to play against Racing and said "I alway
s serve my team mates" before reminding listeners that he only thinks "about th
e group and scoring goals ".
At an event held in Vilafranca del Penedes, Samuel Eto'o has offered part of hi
s point of view on his refusal to come on for the last few minutes against Raci
ng. The Cameroonian has said that "I will recover well and once again score a l
ot of goals, which is all that interests myself and my colleagues". He also sai
d that "if the club asks me to, I will give explanations", in relation to his d
ecision not to play at the Camp Nou.
In the midst of war
Samuel Eto'o said he feels like "I am in the middle of a war between two people
", although he did not specify who he was referring to. "And I am the one who g
ets all the stick". Continuing his references to one of these people, he said "
when he was my boss, he never said hello to me. And now he is in the background
criticising me. That's a bad person ".
Always there
He added that "a bad person is also he who appears in a press conference and sa
ys Samuel Eto'o refused to play. What they need to say is that Samuel Eto'o has
always trained with his team mates, even injured and having taken knocks."
