Albelda rejects fresh terms

Barcelona's hopes of signing David Albelda have taken a step forward
after the defensive midfielder rejected Valencia's latest offer of a
new contract.
在Albelda拒絕了瓦倫西亞最近提出的合約之後，巴薩簽下這名防守中場的希望又
前進了一步。

The 29-year-old has a deal at Mestalla that runs until 2009, but the
club are keen to add another season with the offer of increased wages.
29歲的中場球員的合約將在2009到期，瓦倫西亞希望能與他加薪續約一年。

With Barca publicly making their interest known, Albelda is only prepared
to stay at Valencia if they offer a similar pay package to the one he could
receive at Camp Nou.
在巴薩公開的表示了他們的興趣之後，Albelda只會在瓦倫西亞開出與巴薩接近
的條件的情況下才會留下。

Reports that suggest los Che are offering around €100,000-per-week appear
to be wide of the mark as the player's agent, Alberto Toldra, revealed that
the money on offer was not acceptable.
報導說瓦倫提了一份約週薪十萬歐元的合約，但是球員經紀人認為這個價碼無法接受。

"Today the option to sign is impossible because the money offered is
insufficient," he claimed. "However, we are still ready to talk and have
time on our side."

Albelda came through the ranks at Valencia and has been the team captain
for the past five seasons, but his growing discontent has alerted Barca.
Albelda已經在瓦倫擔任五年的隊長，但是他近來逐漸提高的不滿警告了巴薩。

Txiki Begiristain has held meetings with Camp Nou coach Frank Rijkaard and
the duo believe that the Spain international could be the answer to their
defensive midfield position dilemma.
Begiristain與教練Rijkaard有了一次會議，兩人相信這名西班牙國腳會是他們對防
守中場意見分歧的答案。

The breakdown of talks between Albelda and Valencia could well see the
Catalan club make their move and agree to meet his wage demands.
Albelda和瓦倫西亞之間的談判破裂可能會讓加泰隆尼亞俱樂部採取行動並且
同意他的薪資要求。
