Saviola offered new deal

Javier Saviola has been offered a new contract by Barcelona, but the deal
would see him named as the third-choice striker and his salary dramatically
cut, according to reports.
巴薩已經提供了Saviola一份新合約。但是根據報導，合約中表明他將會是鋒線上的
第三選擇，而且薪水將會大幅減少。

The Argentinian striker must now decide whether to stay put and battle for a
place or leave on a free.
阿根廷前鋒現在必須決定是留下並為了自己的位置奮戰、或者是自由離開。

With his current contract due to expire next month, Saviola was waiting to
hear what the Blaugrana were offering before listening to offers from other
clubs.
他現在的合約下個月就將到期。Saviola原本在聽取其他球隊的提議之前就在等待巴
薩會提供什麼樣的合約。

All was revealed during talks between Barca's technical secretary, Txiki
Beguiristain, and the player's agent, Diego Queiruga, this week.
本週在巴薩的技術總監Txiki和球員經紀人Queiruga的會談之中全部都釐清了。

The new deal on the table has a maximum length of two or three years and
would see his basic salary cut from over €6million (￡4m) per year to around
€2.2m (￡1.5m).
巴薩提出的新合約長度是2～3年，基本年薪將從六百萬歐元（約四百萬英鎊）降低
到兩百二十萬歐元（約一百五十萬英鎊）。

With several interested clubs willing to pay him double that and offer
contracts of between four and six years, Saviola has been given until the end
of the current campaign to decide.
有好幾支對他感到興趣的俱樂部會願意付給他那份合約雙倍的薪水以及四到六年的
長度，Saviola可以到聯賽結束時再做決定。

Real Zaragoza, Villarreal and Real Mallorca have all made contact with
Queiruga to put their offers across and all are more rewarding than Barca's.

Saviola has always stated that his first choice was to stay at Camp Nou and
battle for a place in the side, but with the club set to bring in a second
forward as back-up to Samuel Eto'o, the former River star would be well down
the pecking order.

Queiruga confirmed the reports about the details of the new contract,
although he is awaiting an official offer from Barca.
即使還在等待巴薩官方提供的合約，Queiruga承認了報導指出的合約細節。

He told the Spanish media: "That is true (about the figures), but, formally,
I have still not received the document."
他告訴西班牙媒體：「那是真的，但是我還沒正式接到正式文書。」
