First team doctor, Ricard Pruna, has confirmed that Ronaldinho will not play
against Mallorca as he is continuing with his recovery from tendonitis in his
left knee.
Frank Rijkaard can’t count on Ronaldinho for the league match on Saturday
against Mallorca. The Brazilian is still recovering from tendonitis in his
left knee, according to first team doctor Ricard Pruna. For this reason
Ronaldinho is definitely out of the game against Mallorca on Saturday.
Specific programme
The first team doctor said that “Ronaldinho noticed some problems in his
left knee during training on Sunday. An exploration and scan of the knee
revealed some inflammation of the tendon”. Ricard Pruna also explained that
the number 10 was following “a specific programme of physiotherapy and gym
work, and later will do some pitch work with a physio”. According to Doctor
Pruna Ronaldinho’s return “will depend on how his problems develop”.
