The recent talk from the Barca camp surrounding Marc Crosas' future appears
to point towards a loan move to SPL champions Celtic...
Barcelona midfield starlet Marc Crosas' (pictured right) first action under
the new Josep Guardiola regime could be to leave the club.
The hotly-tipped 20-year-old is concerned about the waiting list for midfield
chances in the middle of the park at the Camp Nou and is set for another loan
deal, having made 8 appearances for Lyon last term.
In light of reports linking him with a loan move to Celtic or Sevilla, the
eager player has opened the door for a temporary stint away from the
Blaugrana.
He told the Scottish Sun: "I haven't spoken to anyone from Scotland yet, but
I am awaiting news.
"People have spoken about Celtic and Sevilla, but everything depends on
Barcelona's decision."
Work Ethic
The Catalan giants have spent the last two summers in Scotland and Crosas'
agent Ramon Arasa admits that the Spanish club's positive experiences in the
country could tip the balance in the Hoops' favour.
Arasa confirmed: "Both Celtic and Sevilla are now having open discussions
about Marc.
"Barca's trip to Scotland has certainly whet the appetite and Celtic are a
club with great history.
"We are awaiting firm proposals, but a short-term move to either club is
possible."
A Parkhead move, then, seems on the cards, with a Barca insider explaining:
"Guardiola likes the Scottish mentality, work ethic and team spirit. Moving
to Celtic for a year would also give Marc Champions League experience."
