Mascherano arrives in Barcelona
Javier Mascherano has arrived in Barcelona and travelled straight to the
club’s offices at Camp Nou where he posed for photographers ahead of
undergoing a medical.
Just 24 hours after the Blaugrana announced that they had reached an
agreement with Liverpool to sign the Argentinian international , the
player landed in the Ciutat Contal. Mascherano rose early and flew over
with agent.

One of the first things that was required of the midfielder was the
obligatory photo session and he duly obliged by posing next to the club crest
that proudly stands outside the offices within the Camp Nou complex. After
landing at 11:00 on Saturday, Mascherano was being snapped by midday.
Busy day
Mascherano will not undergo a medical until Monday. The first part of his
tests will take place at 08:00 in the Hospital de Barcelona before the
travels to the FC Barcelona Centro Médico at Camp Nou at 11:00. Afterwards
he will sign his contract and be prevented as a new Barça player in the
afternoon.

Mascherano: "It is a dream come true"
Javier Mascherano stated that joining FC Barcelona is a dream move for
him after arriving in the Ciutat Contal on Saturday ahead of a medical
and penning his contract at Camp Nou.
The Argentinian midfielder is set to seal a transfer from Liverpool and he
was evidently delighted as he posed for photographs before speaking to
Barça TV. "I am pleased and proud to be forming a part of a team that has
won everything," he explained.
Great people
Mascherano never had any doubt that when he left Anfield this summer that
Barcelona would be his favoured destination and now he is on the verge of
joining he is just taking it all in. "It is a dream come true because of what
it all means," he said. "After everything I have done in the past few years
this is great, but above all because I will play for a great team with great
people."
Helping out
Arriving at Camp Nou with a great desire to play and win things the former
West Ham United midfielder is ready to work hard and win a place in the team.
"Just like I have with every team I have played for I will give everything
and really want to help in any way I can," he added. "I want to addapt now as
quickly as possible."
