1) Seung Song, RHP, 23yo (WHIP:-0.02, K/IP:1.78, K/BB:0.55)
As I said, really all the Expos have to show for Brandon Phillips, Grady Sizemore, Cliff Lee and Don Levinski. At that price he better be at the top of a now-depleted system. Song is a very-mature pitcher who changes speeds well and has good control. His best pitch is his curve, which is a nice compliment to his 90mph fastball. The negative with Song is he was shut down with shoulder soreness late last summer. While he is expected to be fine by Spring Training, it is on top of previous stoppages due
to elbow problems. Expect Song to open the year in AAA with a big league appearance in 2003 certainly possible. His upside is that of a mid-rotation starter.
