Ferrari has confirmed ex-Lotus technical director James Allison will join its
team as chassis technical director on September 1 after months of rumours
about his future.
在幾個月流傳關於前Lotus車隊技術總監James Allison未來的流言蜚語之後,Ferrari車隊
確認Allison將在今年九月一日就任車隊的底盤技術總監一職.
Allison left Lotus in May and was immediately linked with a move to Ferrari.
Over the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, ESPN reported a deal was imminent and
on Monday the team released the following statement saying Allison had joined
Ferrari's technical staff alongside existing technical director Pat Fry.
Allison在五月離開Lotus車隊,而且很快的被認為(他未來)會到Ferrari車隊.在匈牙利站
周末,ESPN披露合約已經簽訂,並且在禮拜一車隊接著發表聲明表示Allison已經加盟

"Ferrari announces that, as from this coming 1st September, James Allison
will join the Scuderia in the role of Chassis Technical Director," the
statement read. "At the same time, Pat Fry will take on the new position of
Director of Engineering. Both men will report directly to the Team Principal
of the Gestione Sportiva, Stefano Domenicali."

The news bolsters Ferrari's technical team ahead of next year's transition to
new 1.6-litre turbo engines, which ex-chief designer Rory Byrne has been
working on with the team. Earlier this year Fernando Alonso said he would
welcome Allison after working with him at Renault.

is one of the top men here [in Formula One]," he said.
