Portugal part company with Couceiro

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has parted company with coach Jose
Couceiro after his teams failed to impress in the UEFA European Under-21
Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup
No Olympic trip
FPF president Gilberto Madail said: "After a careful analysis we've decided
this was in the best interests of the Under-21 team as they prepare to start
their qualifying campaign for the next European Championship." Portugal
finished sixth at the recent Under-21 finals in the Netherlands, losing an
Olympic play-off to Italy on penalties after finishing third in their pool.
