歐洲預選賽分9組,9組冠軍直接進世界盃,8組亞軍踢主客場附加賽,贏ㄉ晉級,
另一組亞軍和亞洲隊伍爭.
亞洲在初賽後晉級ㄉ球隊會踢10強賽,分兩組,2組冠軍晉級,2組亞軍踢附加賽,贏ㄉ和歐
洲球隊爭(不過上屆是和澳洲爭).
南美洲前4名晉級,第5名和澳洲爭.
非洲很複雜,因為有50ㄍ國家,所以第一輪以兩ㄍ國家一組,共分25組分主客場
去比,贏ㄉ25支球隊以5隊一組共分5組,再踢複賽,各組冠軍晉級.不過下屆起要改ㄌ,
改成非洲國家盃前5名晉級,因為非洲國家盃和世界盃同年,在1-2月比賽.
大洋洲冠軍和南美洲或亞洲球隊爭.
