Gearbox Software will release a sequel to Borderlands sometime next year,
according to a report from Eurogamer.
A source close to the project told the website the game is coming to PC,
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and that an official announcement is expected soon.
Gearbox officials declined to comment on the report.
Publisher Take-Two/2K Games has hinted previously that fans can expect more
Borderlands titles in the future.
"We have long term publishing rights to sequels of Borderlands and expect this
to become a key franchise for Take-Two," said then CEO Ben Feder during a 2009
earnings call.
