a few things that i would like to share...
first, i need to apologize to all brazilian jiujitsu fans out there... for we
were under trained and not skilled enough to represent jiujitsu in a way that
it should be. Therefore, i hope for next we'll be able to do be more effective
and really show what jiujitsu can do. honestly, i think if the rules were
different the final outcome may be different. I am not trying to make excuses,
we went into this knowing very well about the rules, thus we have nothing to
complain about.
Overall, i think the tournament this time around was better than last, and
hopefully all you guys will keep on supporting us and this. We have much
potential, for so far without a coach nor proper instructions, i think at the
very least we deserve to be applauded for our courage. But in a few months,
things should turn around, and again, hopefully next we won't make bjj look so
bad.
There were some great san da fighters and boxers that day, great athletes with
great courage, i believe as grapplers we have much to learn, but as strikers,
our club has much to catch up... and we will definitely try and give you all
a better show and performance in march.
