Backup point guard Toney Douglas will miss at least two weeks after being
diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left tibia by the Warriors' team
doctors Tuesday.
"Like anything else, guys have to be ready, guys have to step up and embrace
the opportunity, and we move forward," head coach Mark Jackson said before
Tuesday's game against the Pistons. "It's a credit to our depth and
versatility that we'll find a way to still get it done."
Despite being bothered by lower leg pain since the team was in China last
month, Douglas averaged 6.4 points and shot 44 percent on three-point
attempts in 16 minutes per game as Stephen Curry's primary sub. Douglas had
21 points on 5-of-9 three-point shooting Friday in San Antonio.
Without Douglas, Jackson said, swingman Andre Iguodala will take on more of
the backup point-guard duties, and second-year guard Kent Bazemore will get
minutes ahead of rookie Nemanja Nedovic.
"The question will be: Can (Bazemore) get it done? If he does, it will
continue to be him," Jackson said. "If not, the next man in line is Nedo. I'm
totally fine with putting him in the game. The thing is, you can't play all
of these guys, but I believe in each and every one of them."
替補控球後衛Toney Douglas被診斷出左脛骨受傷，將至少休息兩個禮拜。
教練Jackson的對策是讓Iggy、K.Bazemore跟新人N.Nedovic三人分攤替補控衛的工作
然後Bazemore的時間會比Nedo多一點，不過還是要看表現
(註：我覺得Bazemore比較適合當替補得分後衛)
