此題解出正確答案很容易，但我以下OG的解釋看不懂

In choices B and D the misconstructed phrases set[ting] free more than the
500 slaves... mistakenly suggest that Carter set free slaves that were not
his own.

「為什麼選B,D會suggest Carter不是解放自己的奴隸？」


我又看前人的解釋：

1)by filing a deed of emancipation, setting free的用法。
2) the more than 500 slaves who和more than the 500 slaves who 的區別。



結果我還是有看沒有懂？

推 KGChen:應該是限定和非限定的關代用法吧
→ KGChen:more than 500...slave, who .....是指500個他自己的奴隸
→ KGChen:more than 500...slave who....指的是那五百個他自己的奴隸
→ KGChen:言外之意是他還救了其他部是他自己奴隸的人.....
→ KGChen:講的有點不清楚  有逗點後面是修飾前面 沒逗點是特定的某些
