關於supplies of coal~ 的問題，我在想跟這題會不會也許有點像?(不確定)

constellation是聚集的意思
不過因為主語是the vast constellation of small islands
所以動詞後接has 單數verb

可是後面it is home to about a sixth of the world's 6,000 ...
我就想 constellation-聚集 怎麼會是"家" ??
應該是islands才是"家"阿...

那不能後接they are 用they來代islands嗎??
可是也不清楚文法上是不是不能這樣用，或是說會不會造成代替people的混亂

假設constellation of small islands要看成一個整體 所以後面使用it is 的話
那supplies of coal是不是也可以當作一個整體  就不能只看supplies


不知道是不是我想太複雜了
其實當初我那題GWD也是選A...請大家提供自己的意見吧(昏)

推 Vinicks:我想constellation和supplies有異曲同工之妙吧~~
→ Vinicks:這些聚落 是那些人的家 雖然說翻譯有點不合理 但是it
→ Vinicks:也只能指代這個constellation了 至於supplies of coal
→ Vinicks:也像是當.....大量煤礦供給被出口出去...
→ Vinicks:我想這題只能選best的話 用as比用when好..沒有there were
→ Vinicks:比有there were還要簡潔...所以選E
推 Vinicks:另外although前後引導的句子 主詞要一樣 後面肯定是用it
→ Vinicks:來代替主詞 constellation....
推 sausageL:還有後面的home也暗指須用it而非they...
