當初我對這題其實很疑惑，曾經懷疑題目有問題，後來才看懂他是考同位語
真正主詞是"the Incan highway"，the greatest road...是同位語
改成這樣
The Incan highway, the greatest road system built in the Americas prior
to the arrival of Christopher Columbus, was over 2,500 miles long, extending
from northern Ecuador through Peru to Southern Chile.
通常我們看到的同位語型態是：專有名詞, 解釋(同位語), V....
這樣一來extending就修飾The Incan highway
不會像A, B一樣修飾到the greatest road
