我知道 要(be) assigned to do
但是一開始有個代名詞it 接在experts後面 有點摸不著頭緒

本題先排除assign慣用語錯誤的B,C,D

然後不管是A還是B，都是考關代作受詞省略的句型，it應該會是指the white house

推測原句如下：

In 1994 the white house named Dr. Ruth chairperson of ... committee of experts

that(省略) it assigned to do....

其中that是指代committee of experts, 做為assign的關代受詞提前後省略

it則是指the white house

若it是指committee，那會變成 ...committee of experts committee(it) assigned to...

句意會變的很奇怪，文法應該也不對

而A選中的they不能指代the white house，所以只能選E

一點淺見，請指正
