: 看了語法筆記, 上面說A選項「Abigail Adams or Dolly Madison ever had been的結構中
: , had been 省略結構無法還原, 也就是說had been無法承接she shattered進行省略」
: 實在看不懂它的意思
個人認為，若要使用A選項的比較級結構，應該寫成
she shattered expectations more audaciously than either A.A. or D.M. ever
had (shattered)
第二個shatter重覆可省略；這樣才算是比較同類
she shattered & A.A. or D.M. had shattered比
原題的寫法had been，很奇怪，
若說是shatter及had been比，則是比較不同類，前者為及物動詞表動作，後者為be動詞
表？？（想不出來可以表什麼）
若說是shatter及had been (shattered)比，那就更怪了，此處不應該用被動
我想這就是語法筆記中說的省略結構無法還原的意思
