看到instead和選項在此處作變化，我就先刪掉D E了 因為沒有保留這個語氣
(conceive of "to be" 也不對 片語是conceive of X as Y...)
A的conception of ....was as.... akward 你翻成中文就知道了
C比B好的地方在於it有明確指代 它用that讓第一句的主詞感明確 用分號讓it明確要
對應上一句的主詞
B的which我覺得會讓讀者不確定要說明哪一個
就近原則是"a tool for private conversation" 但這樣會跟後面的句意不合
這題不容易
